Essential Duties:

Provide caseload coverage for PT services.

Model appropriate behavior conducive to a positive working and therapeutic environment.

Evaluate, document, and implement treatment plans for clients referred by physicians.

Record evaluations, daily progress notes, discharge reports, and service billings in a timely manner and in accordance with procedure to provide complete documentation for client charts
as needed.

Cover treatment sessions by implementing the established plan of care and documenting treatment notes accordingly.

Proactively initiate and follow-through with tasks utilizing appropriate problem-solving techniques to facilitate communication flow and prompt resolutions.

Maintain caseload levels at a level deemed reasonable by the PT supervisor.

Observe all rules of confidentiality as they pertain to program participants internally, and in working with outside individuals and/or agencies.

Provide supervision of PTA services, when assigned for a consistent and extended period, in compliance with state practice regulations and organizational policies.

Other duties as assigned by the PT Supervisor.

Requirements:

A degree in Physical Therapy and licensure in the state of Michigan

CPR, First Aid, AED certification (provided by Origami)

Preferences:

Neurological rehabilitation education/experience

Interest in treating children and adult populations

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to palpate, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop kneel or crawl. Accommodated alternatives are acceptable if they accomplish the necessary essential tasks. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to assist in transfers, gait, and mobility training.
