Physical Therapist – Gainesville, FL

Location: Gainesville, Florida

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Days | Rotating Weekends

Typical Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (staggered based on hospital needs)

Compensation:

• $35.77/hr (New Graduate)

• $44.71/hr (Mid – ~10 years experience)

• $49.18/hr (16+ years experience)

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case

Overview

A new 90-bed acute care hospital opening in Spring 2026 in Gainesville, Florida is seeking a Physical Therapist to join its inpatient rehabilitation and acute care therapy team.

This state-of-the-art facility will include comprehensive emergency services, advanced surgical programs, and a 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. The Physical Therapist will play a key role in helping patients regain strength, restore mobility, and improve independence following illness, injury, or surgery.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient mobility, strength, and functional limitations

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to restore function and reduce pain

• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed

• Document therapy outcomes accurately and in a timely manner

• Educate patients and families on exercises, safety techniques, and recovery strategies

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care

• Mentor therapy assistants and students when applicable

Required

• State Licensed Physical Therapist

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire

Preferred

• 1+ year Physical Therapist experience

• Experience in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation
