Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Physical Therapist for a premier health organization in Elmira, NY.
This is a high-impact, Direct Hire opportunity for a compassionate therapist to join a top-tier rehabilitation team. While the role is based within an Acute Care setting, it offers the patient-centered focus of a specialized clinic. We are looking for a motivated professional (Entry Level to Experienced) to provide comprehensive rehabilitation care to a diverse patient population. This position features a highly competitive compensation package, including a significant sign-on bonus and a 25% pay differential for weekend hours, making it one of the most financially rewarding PT roles in the Finger Lakes region.
Job Responsibilities
• Clinical Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to specific patient needs.
• Therapeutic Intervention: Administer a wide range of treatments, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities (Ultrasound, E-Stim, Heat/Ice therapy).
• Weekend Coverage: Provide critical rehabilitation services during weekend shifts, ensuring continuity of care and optimal patient recovery timelines.
• Patient & Family Education: Empower individuals by educating them on posture correction, injury prevention, and customized home exercise programs.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with physicians, nurses, and other specialists to provide holistic, patient-centered care within an acute setting.
• Outcome Monitoring: Diligently monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols in real-time to meet functional rehabilitation goals.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation, including progress notes and discharge summaries, in compliance with industry standards.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to strict infection control, safety guidelines, and departmental policies to maintain a safe healing environment.
Requirements:
Education & Licensing
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program is REQUIRED.
• New York State PT License (or immediate eligibility to obtain) is REQUIRED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
Experience & Skills
• Entry Level candidates are welcome; prior experience in outpatient or acute care settings is preferred.
• Ability to deliver compassionate care for orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with a focus on collaborative communication.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs independently and up to 150 lbs with assista
Benefits:
Work Model: 100% On-site (Elmira, NY).
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000.00 to welcome you to the team.
Weekend Pay: 25% Premium on top of your base rate for all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.
