Job Description

The ideal candidate should know the ins and outs of the language and is a master at using server side technology and programming to find creative solutions to functionality requirements.

The candidate must have a strong competency in PHP/MySQL, and have a passion for staying up to date with the latest trends and best practices.

Requirements / Experience:

∙ 3+ years’ experience building web applications with PHP

∙ Experience storing/retrieving data using MySQL or similar DB

∙ Experience with RESTful web services (JSON APIs, etc)

∙ Good Front End skills in HTML/CSS/Javascript

∙ Understanding of object-oriented programming, concepts of abstraction, etc

∙ Experience in custom CMSs and e-commerce

What You Will Do:

∙ Collaborate with Front End Developers to complete development projects successfully and on time

∙ Develop back end for web based solutions using PHP/MySQL

∙ Participate in all aspects of development (planning, architecture, development and deployment)

∙ Refactor and optimize code Skills:

∙ PHP, MySQL, MVC/OOP, Javascript, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3 (SASS is a plus), Git/GitHub, LAMP/Linux, command line (shell/bash)
