Experlogix is looking for an experienced, passionate, and self-driven PHP Developer to join our Digital Commerce team based in Drogheda, Ireland. Our global team is growing alongside the increasing demand for B2B eCommerce. This is a fast-moving, complex, and constantly evolving space where our products make a significant impact—helping customers succeed in a multi-channel digital world.
As a member of the Core Platform Engineering Team, you will work in an agile environment and report to the Director of Engineering for Digital Commerce. You’ll be at the forefront of developing new features across our suite of B2B eCommerce products, creating solutions that truly delight our customers. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product, and QA, you will play a key role in delivering robust, high-quality platform enhancements.
We are looking for someone with strong customer empathy and a solid understanding of software design and development, capable of delivering solutions that meet product needs. Collaboration is central to this role—you’ll thrive on understanding the business value behind solutions and continuously improving everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain backend components of our PHP-based e-commerce platform
Work with our in-house framework, following established coding standards and conventions
Implement integrations with third-party systems (ERPs, payment gateways, APIs, etc.)
Develop and maintain frontend functionality using Twig and PHP (and occasionally React)
Contribute to our React-based administrative application (basic React familiarity is sufficient; full training provided)
Write and maintain automated tests using Codeception (PHP unit/functional tests) and Cypress (end-to-end UI tests)
Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and sprint ceremonies
Diagnose, debug, and resolve performance or scalability issues in production
Work with GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and AWS deployment
Collaborate with the Product, Customer Engineering and Support teams to deliver maintainable, high-quality code
Required Skills, Experience & Education
Strong solution design skills, preferably in a SaaS based product development role.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both with internal and external stakeholders.
Pro-active mindset, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability over the team's delivery.
Knowledge and experience of e-commerce solutions and/or ERP integrations.
Proficient in speaking and written English.
Agile / Scrum experience with a passion for process improvement.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) or task scheduling (e.g., cron, queues)
Experience writing tests with Codeception or PHPUnit.
Degree In Computer Science related field is desirable but not essential.
Desirable skills
Experience or understanding of React (hooks, functional components, context).
Familiarity with Cypress for end-to-end UI testing.
Experience working in AWS environments (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, etc.).
Exposure to B2B or e-commerce systems.
