Phlebotomist (PartTime)

Position Overview

West Volusia Family and Sports Medicine is actively seeking a qualified Phlebotomists to join our growing Primary Care office. We are currently hiring for part-time. Every other Saturdays are included. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team focusing on Family and Sports Medicine.

General Duties

Perform phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions

Ensure lab specimens are sent to the appropriate laboratories

Document patient care services using daily logs, patient records, and outside laboratory forms

Comfort patients by anticipating anxieties, answering questions, and providing support

Collect and organize blood, tissue, and other bodily fluid samples from patients

Prepare samples for routine testing and analysis

Properly record results for further analysis and easy reference

Monitor inventory of samples and supplies

Maintain a clean work environment

Work under the supervision of a medical technologist

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience

Previous experience as a clinical technician or in a related field

Familiarity with common medical terminology

Experience in a laboratory setting

Strong organizational skills

Ideal Candidate
