Description: The pharmacy technician position is responsible for being highly knowledgeable and be able to perform the fulfillment process of orders to include selecting the appropriate product, applying special handling requirements, calculations, and accurate preparing the product for a final check under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and as permitted under applicable pharmacy rules and regulations.
The position is responsible for all labeling requirements to include the use of auxiliary and warning labels, expiration date, and patient specific information. In addition, the technician may perform packing requirements and be a part of the distribution process.
The ideal candidate will also perform cleaning, replenishment and other functions deemed necessary to support business operations.
The Pharmacy is a production environment.
Must be able to stand all day.
Must be professional and have excellent attention to detail to prevent errors.
Must work well with others.
Must be able to work with computers and in a fast paced environment.
Hours: Monday - Friday (12:30pm - 9:30pm).
Must be flexible to work overtime, other shifts, possible weekends/holidays.
Candidates should have 1 year experience as pharmacy technicians.
Candidates must have New Jersey state registration by the interview. Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is preferred.
