Job Summary:
The Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Homemaker, and Respite Staff is responsible for providing essential in-home support services to Perfect Care Inc. clients. This includes assistance with personal care needs, activities of daily living (ADLs), home maintenance, and safety monitoring. All duties are performed in accordance with each client’s individualized Plan of Care and the PCA’s certified Scope of Practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality of Care:
Assist clients with personal care activities including:
Bathing, oral care, denture care, skin care, and grooming
Bathroom support, dressing, undressing, transferring, and ambulation
Support home and environmental tasks including:
Meal planning and preparation
Feeding, changing linens, making beds, and light housekeeping
Laundry of clothes and bedding
Ensure client safety, including proper use of equipment (e.g., side rails, wheelchairs, footstools)
Follow the individualized Plan of Care as outlined on the Aide Activity Sheet
Monitor and observe clients’ conditions and report any concerns, changes, or incidents to the clinician immediately
Documentation:
Complete and maintain all required records and reports in compliance with agency policies
Accurately document all services rendered on the day they are provided
Ensure documentation is clear, legible, and submitted in a timely manner
Communication:
Maintain open and professional communication with the client, their family, and the supervising team
Collaborate with members of the care team and participate in case conferences when requested
Notify supervisors promptly of any concerns or client care issues
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Certification as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) in good standing
Experience in homecare, elder care, or personal support services preferred
Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes
