About the Role:
Wing is looking for a Permitting Associate to join our Global Site Launch team based in Remotely in the US. The role will assist in the coordination of our internal, external, and city relationships related to site permitting. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who thrive in a dynamic team environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to administratively facilitate Wing Nest permitting by effectively collaborating with city municipalities (AHJs). We are looking for people who are intrinsically driven to solve complex problems with elegantly simple solutions, move quickly, and are highly adaptive.
What You’ll Do:
• Support the development of permit submission discovery ensuring comprehensive permit applications, interact with project design professionals and Wing Partners, and strategically represent the company at municipality meetings
• Actively participate in regulatory processes, staying informed on market changes and regulatory developments that may impact projects
• With internal and 3rd party vendors, coordinate the scheduling, delivery, and status of all permits, ensuring alignment and coordination with internal and external stakeholders from project inception to permit approval
• Facilitate the permit application process by obtaining necessary documents from engineering teams, securing required approvals, and acting as the primary liaison between Wing and our Partners
• Prepare and submit required permitting applications, ensuring compliance with agency and board requirements, and update issued plans for accuracy
• Maintain permitting database including process to permit, AHJ requirements and zoning laws
• Collaborate closely with clients to ensure timely processing of permits and maintain clear and effective communication
• Up to 75% travel to in person AHJ meetings across the country
What You’ll Need:
• 3+ years of experience in obtaining construction and code based site permits from municipalities (AHJs)
• Intermediate knowledge of permitting processes across multiple jurisdictions
• Established relationships with municipalities or the ability to build them within the first 90 days
• Knowledge base in reading and interpreting site plans
• Familiarity in supporting a scaling a permitting program
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent follow-up and time management abilities to minimize turnaround time
The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
Salary Range
$97,000—$128,000 USD
