Location: 144 Oxford, Rosebank
The purpose of the Permitting Administrator is to provide administrative support to the Far Eastern Limb and Processing operations within Valterra Platinum. The role also includes logistical support to Permitting Systems as well as undertaking Internal and External Reporting.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Safety
• Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
• Adherence to the relevant Permitting strategy and ensure that critical tasks, performance targets, plans and budgets are adhered to with due consideration of risk identification.
Performance & Delivery
Responsible for operational Permitting Reporting:
• Submit accurate, correct Permitting information for internal reports within defined deadlines.
• Identify where data errors are and correct it.
• Generate ad-hoc specific Permitting reports for management as required.
• Generate regular site-specific Permitting reports and prepare minutes for Permitting and Project meetings
Provide support for Permitting management systems:
• Evaluate use and effectiveness of systems.
• Address systems and data queries from users.
• Review and confirm data integrity on the systems prior to reporting periods.
• Update and maintain user access on Permitting management systems.
• Train and assess users on the Permitting systems and provide on-going support.
• Liaise with all relevant role players to ensure stable Permitting IT systems working environment.
Permitting document control and records management:
• Maintain SharePoint Permitting DMS for FEL and Process operations.
• Verify documentation under SharePoint Permitting DMS conforms with MPR and IPS requirements.
• Communicate new and changed Corporate /site permitting standards, procedures and requirements to relevant employees at the operations.
Permitting Communication:
• Manage communication to Permitting stakeholders for permit action management.
• Manage the distribution and compilation of Permitting communication material.
Data Administration:
• Capturing of all permit data on Permitting management system (Isometrix).
• Management of data within Permitting management system (Isometrix).
Compliance
• Adhere to external local compliance requirements as a minimum level of site performance.
• Adhere to Valterra Platinum compliance requirements and ensure compliance thereof.
• Adhere to compliance governance within the team
• Conduct site inspections to identify and escalate non-compliance.
• Grade 12.
• Administrative qualification will be an advantage.
Technical Knowledge
• Operations: Knowledge of operational processes within scope of role.
• Commercial: Basic financial metrics, cost and value management & budgeting tools.
• Management: Risk management techniques and critical controls.
• Compliance: Safety, health and environment, legislative, statutory, regulatory and permitting requirements.
Experience required for the role
• Work experience in the mining and/or processing industry.
• Experience working with transactional software systems.
• Experience in administrative function, specifically document control and records management.
You will also need to have:
• No criminal record.
• Good command of English language both written and speaking.
• Valid driving license.
If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness test.
