The Sign Installer is responsible for the safe installation or permanent signage at job sites. This role ensures that all signage is installed in accordance with regulatory requirements, site-specific plans, and company standards to support safe and efficient Operations. The Sign Installer plays a critical role in maintaining public and worker safety while representing the company professionally in the field.
What you will be responsible for:
Permanent Sign Installation & Maintenance
Install, position, and secure permament signs, barricades, and other equipment in accordance with site-specific plans and regulatory requirements
Conduct site assessments upon arrival to ensure proper placement and visibility of signage based on real-time conditions.
Compliance & Safety
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards, including OHSA requirements.
Ensure all installations meet regulatory and company standards for traffic control and public safety.
Identify and report hazards, unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses in a timely manner.
Use appropriate PPE at all times and ensure safe work practices are followed at all times.
Documentation & Communication
Accurately complete all required documentation, including job reports, inspection logs, and equipment tracking using company-approved systems or mobile applications.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members regarding job status, delays, or issues.
Provide clear updates from the field to support operational decision-making.
Customer & Public Interaction
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients, contractors, and the public.
Represent the company positively while on job sites, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.

What we need from you:
Valid G class driver’s license and a clean driver's abstract (Required)
Must be available to work Monday - Friday between 6am - 6pm with the potential to work some evenings and weekends (Required)
Have strong verbal and written English communication skills (Required)
Vision and hearing abilities that allow to perform all work requirements safely (Required)
You will be required to provide your own CSA Grade 1 (green label) work boots with a minimum 6 inch cuff and electrical shock resistance (white label with omega symbol)
Minimum 1-3 year of experience in Construction (Preferred)
Ability to use basic power tools
Communicate effectively - Good communication skills to be able to give motorists & pedestrians simple directions, explain hazards, and answer questions
Safety Focus – Prioritizing safety in all aspects of work, especially in high-risk environments.
Drives Results – Consistently delivering high-quality work in fast-paced, field-based conditions.
Accountability – Taking ownership of work and ensuring tasks are completed correctly and on time.
