Join our team as an experienced Perioperative Nurse and play a key role in shaping the future of our Perioperative Department!
Supporting our teams across both Dudley Private Hospital and Ramsay Surgical Centre, you will be providing education and clinical expertise to nursing staff across Day Surgery, Anaesthetics, Recovery and Scrub/Scout.
In this pivotal role, you will share your clinical expertise, support staff development and lead engaging training and competency programs.

Key Responsibilities
Act as a clinical expert and resource for staff across all aspects of perioperative nursing
Provide ongoing education, supervision, and mentorship to nursing staff
Develop and facilitate training sessions, learning activities, and competency assessments
Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager on staff appraisals, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Foster a positive and professional learning culture while maintaining strong relationships with medical and multidisciplinary teams
Your Key Skills and Experience
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in an acute hospital setting
Demonstrated post-registration nursing experience within the perioperative space
Experience in nursing education and staff development
Demonstrated ability to educate staff in formal and informal settings
Post Graduate qualifications in the perioperative environment or Clinical Education (or working towards) is highly regarded
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is highly regarded
Remuneration
A base hourly rate of $56.82 + superannuation + applicable penalty rates. Based on experience level and qualifications (NSW Clinical Nurse/Midwifery Educator)

The Hospital
Our Theatre Department at Dudley Private and Ramsay Surgical Centre operates 8 state-of-the-art theatres, a Cardiac Cath Lab and a diverse surgical portfolio across orthopaedics, neurosurgery, paediatrics, gynae, urology, general surgery and ophthalmology.

Requirements
Provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the last 12 months
According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
