Created in 2009, ESSP is a young and dynamic company, a pan European service provider, certified by EASA (the European Union Aviation Safety Agency) to deliver safety-critical services. Our mission is to operate and provide Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) services, among which, the main one is, the EGNOS service (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), on behalf of the EUSPA (the European Agency for Space).

We are looking for a Performance Tools Manager who will ensure the steady and fluid of the team by checking the correct operation of Mission Performance tools, developing new software, defining new requirements, and managing the development and acceptance of the tools. For these activities, we are looking for someone with at least 5 years’ experience in satellite navigation (GNSS) and 3 years’ experience in a field relevant to the management and development of software and tools, with a very good level of English (minimum B2).
Your main responsibilities/activities will be:
Coordination of the team of 4 people, in charge of maintaining and evolving Mission Performance Tools,
Maintain performance tools, networks and connections; ensure they are operated in nominal conditions,
Management and control the obsolescence and guarantee of Mission Performance tools,
Management of observation reports, configuration management, control of changes and documentation management,
Raise Observation Reports for the anomalies found in Performance Tools and participate actively in the Observation Report Board and the follow-up of the anomalies,
Maintain and develop scripts and software related to the exploitation of tools,
Maintain and evolve the User Performance Continuous Monitoring Tool and similar software developed to provide real time information to users (internal and external users),
Proposition of evolutions on tools and management of the requirements document,
Be responsible for the acceptance of new or evolved performance tools and to participate actively during the corresponding industry qualification milestones,
Support to the system and service Change Control Boards and related taskforces,
Support the EGNOS System formal Reviews,
Coordinate and supervise the installations and deployments related to performance tools.
Profile:
Leadership and team-building
Experience in development of software related to GNSS performance analysis
Mastering the methods of development and evolution of complex software
Knowledge in Visual Basic.Net ,Python, MATLAB, C/C++ and scripting required
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity aspects
Adaptability and initiative
Good capacity of analysis and synthesis
Strong autonomy and ability to assume responsibilities
Project management
Very good level of English (B2 – C1) – CEFR
Job Requirements:
Engineering degree or equivalent
Available for regular travels mainly in Europe
