Performance Testing Specialist (m/f/d)

What the job is about

As a Performance Testing Specialist, you ensure the performance, stability, scalability, and reliability of our automotive software solutions through both proactive and reactive performance engineering. This includes identifying issues before they surface as well as diagnosing and resolving problems reported by internal teams or customers. You work across the full technical stack, conducting performance analysis on database (DB), API, and user interface (UI) layers.

Your responsibilities:

· Perform proactive performance testing across DB, API, and UI layers to identify potential bottlenecks before they impact users.

· Execute reactive performance investigations when issues arise, analyzing behavior across the full stack to quickly isolate and resolve root causes.

· Conduct performance and load testing to validate system scalability and resilience under stress.

· Provide technical guidance to development and product teams for improving performance at structural and code levels.

· Execute load and stress tests at DB, API, and UI levels to ensure end‑to‑end system resiliency.

· Assist customers in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving performance‑related issues using both proactive guidance and reactive troubleshooting.

· Manage and maintain dedicated performance/load environments to ensure accurate simulations at different stack layers.

· Analyze and optimize batch jobs for stability and throughput across varying load conditions.

· Hands-on experience with DB, API, and UI performance testing & optimization.

· Strong analytical skills for identifying bottlenecks.

· Accuracy and diligence in fine-tuning complex systems.

· Proactive problem-solving mindset.

· Strong communication for translating performance insights.

· Eagerness for continuous learning.

· Experience in tools like JMeter, K6, Dynatrace, … is an asset.

· ISTQB CTFL 4.0 certification mandatory, ISTQB CT-PT certification recommended
