Performance Tester

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and self-driven Performance Tester to join our team in Telco domain. The Performance Tester will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests using tools such as JMeter to ensure that systems can handle high traffic, meet performance benchmarks, and remain stable under load. This role requires working independently, proactively identifying performance bottlenecks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance. The ideal candidate has prior experience working on large-scale projects involving complex system integrations.

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:

· Design and execute performance tests (load, stress, endurance) using JMeter, LoadRunner, and IBM Rational Performance Tester.

· Analyse test results to identify performance bottlenecks (CPU, memory, network, database, APIs).

· Establish performance benchmarks and validate system behavior under peak load.

· Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support performance optimisation.

· Prepare clear performance test reports with findings and recommendations.

· Support performance testing across integrated systems (APIs, middleware, third-party services, databases).

Qualifications:

• Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience:
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in performance testing, specifically using JMeter in complex and integrated Telco systems or similarly large-scale environments.

Skills:

· Strong expertise in performance testing tools:

· JMeter (advanced test plans, correlation, parameterization, custom scripting)

· LoadRunner (VuGen, Controller, Analysis)

· IBM Rational Performance Tester

· Solid understanding of:

· HTTP/HTTPS protocols

· Web and API performance testing (REST/SOAP)

· Middleware and backend systems

· Experience testing complex integrated systems, including third-party services and databases.

· Familiarity with performance monitoring and APM tools.

· Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.

· Basic scripting or programming skills (e.g., Groovy, Python, Shell).

· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Certifications:

• ISTQB CTFL or equivalent certification.
• Experience in Agile and Scrum environments is a plus.

Candidates without hands-on experience in JMeter-based performance testing on large-scale or integrated systems may not be considered.
