Role Summary and Impact

WPP Media Ford operates across global markets, this is a role in the EMEA central team working with 18 European markets.

Encompassing disciplines from strategy to activation the 40+ strong central WPP Media team works with Ford of Europe and local markets on their media strategy, planning and buying and with other agencies involved across creative and production. Members of the Performance Team create an effective link between planning teams and activation specialists.

The Performance Manager role is responsible for utilizing a business analyst mindset and cross-channel media expertise, embedding performance led rigour to maximize client business outcome growth.

• Driving tangible business outcomes for Ford: This role helps to set the performance direction – contributing to an annual learning agenda, pushing innovative experiments whilst uncovering actionable performance insights

• The scale, support and resource of the region’s biggest group: You will work in collaboration with talented specialists in Search, Social, Programmatic, Data & Analytics and be exposed to other WPP agencies plus directly presenting to senior clients

• An opportunity to be curious: As a cross-channel specialist, we encourage team members to inspire new ways of thinking and new approaches to achieving client business outcomes

Performance Focus

• Drive Ford business outcomes; understand performance across multiple channels (biddable focus); how that links to client objectives and derive actionable insights

• Be curious; leverage knowledge of digital channels to have a relentless focus on driving client outcome growth by asking “Why” and “So What?”

• Collaborate with planning teams in driving client outcomes – quantifying objectives across all biddable practice areas

• Work with activation to aid in the management of performance campaign bid strategies and constant monitoring of tracking to performance goals - implementing corrective decisions when needed.

Data-Driven Insights:

• Data focused: using individual platforms / reporting dashboards to analyse campaign results and market media performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimisation.

• Utilise advanced data analytics & MMM outputs to understand media performance deeply, and guide optimization strategies ensuring maximum ROI.

• Contribute to data analytics/measurement frameworks to shape holistic measurement of performance media strategy and activation.

Future-Forward Thinking:

• Stay ahead of media and technology trends, providing guidance on emerging opportunities and threats

Account Management

• Team & market coordination. Work closely with local and central teams to establish clear goals and efficient ways of working, ensuring timely and insightful performance updates including monitoring plans.

• Template & Process Enhancement. Help improve and standardise reporting templates to ensure consistency and efficiency across markets

• Proven experience in across paid media

• Experience working within Meta Business Suite, full capabilities of the platform (events manager, ads reporting etc), as well as other paid platforms, including Google, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snapchat or Pinterest

• Ability to craft a compelling, data driven story that is anchored in the client’s business need combined with a curious mindset.

• An in-depth understanding of using reporting dashboards

• Working with 18 EU markets speaking a European language is a plus
