We are looking for an upbeat and personable People Services Advisor for our Integrated Global Services branch located in Calgary who is passionate about building relationships with leaders and employees allowing you to become a trusted advisor for both! You will be an advocate for our people, providing human resources support to the branch daily, while enabling our managers to focus on what they do best.
A Day in the Life::
• Provide daily HR support to the Integrated Global Services (IGS) branch
• Deliver high-quality service and advice to the IGS branch leadership team on employee relations and performance management situations
• Collaborate with the larger Long View People Services (PS) team to implement programs which help improve the employee experience
• Administer HR policies, procedures, programs and disability management
• Manage compensation changes and promotions
• Assist PS leadership with HR trending and analysis
• Manage HRIS & benefits administration
• Review quarterly vacation and sick time balances and handle escalated issues
• Manage onboarding of new hires
• Partner with leaders to proactively address employee relations, coaching through complex people situations before they escalate, with a focus on achieving fair, win‑win outcomes and supporting meaningful employee improvement and growth
• Support the Health & Safety program for the branch
• Assist with international visas & various immigration matters
• Support the Career Life Planning process, including attending these sessions for employees each quarter
What You Bring::
• 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources role
• Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations in Canada and the US
• High emotional intelligence, with a focus on taking care of people
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong employee relations expertise with the ability to coach and support leaders through complex people and performance situations
• The ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to forge and maintain effective and influential working relationships
• Passion for working with and helping others and creating a great employee experience
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Comfort working in a flexible and agile environment
• Education in human resources or related discipline
