We have a great opportunity for an experienced P&O Business Partner Manager based in Malaysia  to be a member of the site leadership team to support our business leaders with a full range of HR practices, ranging from recruitment, onboarding . performance coaching , talent and learning development and  provide expert advice on full spectrum of HR activities.  In addition, you’ll deliver effective people manager support and leadership development.
You’ll need a good business understanding and a pragmatic, solutions focused approach, able to build consensus and positive collaborative approaches among key stakeholders in engineering, operations and supply chain, as well as regional and global HR.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible to assure good and legally compliant HR practices and robust governance
• Responsible to continuously develop the site and it’s people together with site leadership including resources, employee capability, reputation, community integration, culture, performance and sustainability.
• Advises international executive leadership
• Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the P&O team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
• Prevents, manages and resolves employee relations issues.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Works closely with P&O team, site management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
• Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Onboards new employees, recruits temps and verifies hours, manages approval process for employee status changes, such as promotions and transfers.
• Assists in coordination of international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
• Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
• Identifies training needs for site and individual leadership coaching needs.
• Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
• Degree level education majoring in Human Resources
• Proven track record of HR site leadership with success in both employee engagement and compliance management.
• Proven track record in managing change and developing a site performance culture.
• Business acumen and understanding of core performance drivers in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid Generalist HR capability across core disciplines of managing the full employee life cycle – recruitment, on boarding , Performance management , employee engagement , Talent development/coaching, compensation & benefits, HR analytics and offboarding
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
• Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong competency in local and global cultural awareness.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
