People Operations & Talent Manager
Location: San Ramon, CA (onsite w/ flexibility)
Employment Type: Full-time Exempt
Reporting to: Head of People
Comp Range: $100,000 - $125,000
Role Summary
We are seeking a People Operations & Talent Manager to own day-to-day People Operations and recruiting for a growing U.S. workforce across office, warehouse, and field teams. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who can operate independently, improve processes, and deliver results.
Recruiting may represent 30–50% of the role seasonally, depending on hiring needs. You will work directly with the Head of People in a lean, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
People Operations
• Own onboarding, I-9/E-Verify, background checks, and new hire setup
• Maintain accurate employee data in TriNet and ensure compliance
• Support employees with HR systems, benefits, and policies
• Partner with Payroll / TriNet to resolve employee issues
• Maintain records, reporting, audits, and process improvements
• Support H-2A administration and multi-state workforce needs
• Use AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency, documentation, and workflows
Recruiting
• Own full-cycle recruiting for seasonal field, warehouse, and office roles
• Partner with hiring managers on hiring plans and role requirements
• Source, screen, schedule, and close candidates
• Manage offers, ATS workflows, recruiting metrics, and agencies as needed
Qualifications
Required
• 5+ years in People Ops, HR, Recruiting, or blended roles
• Proven success owning full-cycle recruiting and HR processes
• Experience with HRIS/PEO systems (TriNet preferred) and ATS tools (Spark Hire preferred)
• Strong attention to detail, urgency, and judgment
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Preferred
• Multi-state workforce experience
• Field, agricultural, warehouse, or seasonal workforce experience
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for drafting, reporting, and workflow support
• Bilingual Spanish, preferred but not required
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification
