Job Description
People Operations Lead — (San Francisco, CA)
Full-time | In-person | 3+ years of relevant experience required
FurtherAI is building the AI Workspace for Insurance, empowering underwriters, brokers, and carriers to automate routine work so they can focus on higher-value decisions. We move fast, prioritize clarity and quality, and value effective, high-integrity work.
We’re looking for a People Ops Lead to partner directly with our founders, build core people systems from the ground up, and help FurtherAI scale with a strong, intentional culture. In this role, you will take ownership of key operations and administrative tasks, help drive strategic initiatives, and ensure smooth execution day-to-day. If you thrive in fast-paced, early-stage environments and enjoy handling a diverse range of responsibilities, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do:
• Manage day-to-day administrative tasks for the executive team, including scheduling, travel, and correspondence
• Support operations across functions: HR, recruiting, team events, office coordination, vendor management
• Facilitate internal communications, meeting prep, agendas, and follow-ups
• Partner with leadership on key projects, research, and process improvements
• Own logistics for team offsites, board meetings, and other critical events
• Track and report project milestones, ensuring deadlines are met
• Help execute onboarding, culture, and team engagement initiatives
• Build and improve processes as we grow, from documentation to workflow optimization
• Build and shape team culture
What We’re Looking For:
• 3+ years of experience as an executive assistant, operations lead, or similar role (startup or high-growth environment preferred)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and people skills
• Able to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and operate independently
• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving ability
• Experience handling confidential information with discretion
• Comfort with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities
• Proficiency in Google Workspace & modern productivity tools (Notion, Slack, Asana, etc.)
• Based in San Francisco and available for in-person work
Who This Role Is Not For:
• Those who prefer highly rigid or slow-moving environments
• Candidates who are uncomfortable with high-ownership and hands-on execution
• Individuals who only want to manage, not "do"
• Those who are not based in San Francisco or able to work in-person
Why Join FurtherAI:
• Partner closely with founders/leadership at a fast-growing AI company
• Gain exposure and responsibility across all aspects of early-stage operations
• Help shape culture and foundational processes
• Receive competitive salary, equity, and benefits
• Join a team that values speed, communication, and craftsmanship
