You will
• own and execute end-to-end employee lifecycle operations, ensuring reliable, compliant, and smooth day-to-day execution.
• be the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding operational HR issues and will provide quick, pragmatic solutions.
• take over operational responsibility for our payroll and ensure that it is implemented correctly, on time, and in compliance with regulations.
• identify potential compliance or process risks at an early stage and address them openly or escalate them if necessary.
• ensure high data quality across our HR systems and manage deadlines, changes, and dependencies reliably.
• contribute to continuous improvement by identifying operational pain points and independently implementing small process optimizations within existing people operations workflows.
• support and contribute to people projects beyond day-to-day operations, helping to translate new concepts, frameworks, or initiatives into practical processes and anchor them in everyday work.
What you'll bring
• A degree in business administration, management, HR, economics, or a comparable field
• Up to 2 years of experience in people operations/HR administration, ideally in a startup or scale-up environment
• Proven experience in independently and reliably managing operational processes with clear ownership of end results
• Confident handling of payroll-related issues (e.g., preparation, control, collaboration with external payroll partners)
• A good basic understanding of labor law and the ability to identify and correctly assess risks
• High attention to detail and affinity for data, especially when dealing with HR systems and sensitive personnel data
• A strong process mindset: you recognize inefficiencies, think in terms of processes, and suggest pragmatic improvements
• Independent, structured way of working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
• Very good German and good English skills
