Who are we looking for?

Pixaera builds immersive, gamified simulations that help frontline teams learn critical safety skills in realistic environments. As we scale our product and customer base, we’re investing in the next phase of our People function to support continued growth, strong culture, and operational excellence.

The People Lead will help evolve and scale a thoughtful, well-run People function that supports Pixaera’s growth, culture, and operational integrity. This role owns the end-to-end people lifecycle, ensures strong operational hygiene, and partners closely with leadership to create clarity, consistency, and accountability as the company scales.

This is a hands-on, builder role. You will design the foundation, operate the systems, and continuously improve how people processes work day to day.

Core Responsibilities

1. People Operations & Lifecycle Ownership

• Own onboarding, performance management, and offboarding end-to-end

• Ensure every new joiner is set up with:

• Clear cultural context and values

• Understanding of Pixaera’s product, customers, and strategy

• A structured 30/60/90-day onboarding experience

• Own offboarding processes including:

• Timely access and account revocation

• License and system clean-up

• Asset recovery and documentation

2. Systems, Data & Operational Hygiene (Priority Area)

• Own all People systems (e.g., Personio or equivalent HRIS) and ensure they are the single source of truth

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for:

• Employee data and contracts

• Compensation and role history

• Assets, devices, and equipment

• System access and permissions

• Design and document clear operating procedures for People workflows (joiners, movers, leavers, changes, approvals)

• Actively manage licenses, tools, and vendors to reduce waste and control spend

• Build and maintain basic people analytics and dashboards (headcount, attrition, hiring funnel, performance cycles)

• Ensure the People function is audit-ready, compliant, and operationally sound

3. Performance & Talent Management

• Design and run clear, trusted performance review cycles

• Support managers with:

• Goal setting and role clarity

• Feedback frameworks

• Performance and development conversations

• Ensure performance management drives growth, accountability, and alignment

4. Hiring Operations & Workforce Planning

• Own hiring operations across the company

• Partner with hiring managers to ensure:

• Clear role definitions and success profiles

• Structured interview processes

• High-quality, timely feedback

• Improve hiring velocity without sacrificing quality

• Support headcount planning in partnership with leadership

5. Leadership Partnership & Culture

• Act as a trusted partner to leadership on people topics

• Reinforce company values and operating principles

• Help evolve structure, processes, and expectations as Pixaera scales

• Surface risks early and propose pragmatic solutions

What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)

• Onboarding and offboarding are structured, reliable, and zero-miss

• People systems are clean, current, and trusted

• License, tool, and asset spend is controlled and transparent

• Performance reviews are clear, consistent, and well understood

• Hiring processes feel organised, predictable, and fair

• People Ops is seen as a dependable backbone of the company

Who are you?

• You bring 6–10+ years of experience in People / HR / People Ops roles

• You’ve helped scale companies from ~30 to 100+ employees (or similar growth stages)

• You’re a strong operator: structured, detail-oriented, and decisive

• You’re comfortable owning systems, processes, and outcomes end-to-end

• You handle sensitive information with high integrity and discretion

• You’re calm, pragmatic, and execution-focused

• Experience in high-growth tech or product-led companies is a plus
