Location: Chennai

Hours 9-6 am IST (need to support 2-11 PM if business requires)

Be a part of building our Global People Shared Services team (People Hub). We’re looking for someone interested in learning about People Operations and Human Resources, with a passion for customer experience. Reporting to the People Hub ( shared services) Manager, in India, you’ll provide foundational support for employee requests, HR systems, and critical people processes. This is a great opportunity for someone with a willingness to learn, build operational muscle, and contribute to creating an exceptional experience for Toast employees across the globe.

You’ll work alongside a collaborative team and gain hands-on experience with key people systems and processes. You’ll also have the opportunity to assist with process improvements and contribute to documentation efforts that help us scale smarter.

About this roll (Responsibilities)

• Support accurate data entry in our HR systems (like Workday and Greenhouse)

• Workday experience is mandate.

• Help maintain clean and consistent employee records through regular checks and updates

• Assist with employee lifecycle activities like onboarding, offboarding, and internal changes

• Monitor and manage employee inquiries via our ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution or escalation when needed

• Partner with teams like Benefits to help answer employee questions and support program execution

• Keep internal documentation up to date to ensure clarity and continuity

• Assist with ad hoc projects that improve how we operate or deliver new programs

• Work in a data-sensitive environment, always ensuring data privacy and maintaining confidentiality to support full compliance with company policies.

• A desire to learn and grow in HR or People Operations

• Strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy

• Proficiency in fundamental computer operations and using Google Workspace

• Ability to clearly and consistently communicate with employees

• Great time management and organizational skills

• A positive attitude and a team-first mindset

• Comfortable following processes and asking questions when you’re unsure

• Experience in HR Shared Service, customer service or administrative support

• Awareness of tools like Workday, Greenhouse, ServiceNow, or ticketing systems
