Role profile
As a key member of the People Data & Insights team, you'll lead on designing and evolving our workforce data model and Master Data Management (MDM) architecture. You'll be the product owner for pioneering cloud-based People data solutions, seamlessly integrating people-related data into a single, reliable source for fast insight generation. Your work will empower teams across the organisation to make smarter, faster decisions using robust reporting, analytics, and AI-powered intelligence.
Collaboration is at the core of this role. You'll partner closely with People Engineering, BI experts, and HR leaders to set a bold data strategy, optimise data flows, and drive best-in-class governance. About the team
You’ll be part of the People Data & Insights team – a strategic, globally connected function that delivers personalised, data-driven insights to inform people strategy, enhance workforce capabilities, and support business performance. We combine people research, analytics, and technology to enable decision-making at scale, with a growing focus on AI-enabled solutions.
Our work spans cloud-based master data for real-time analytics, scalable dashboards embedded in the flow of work, listening at scale to understand colleague sentiment, and advanced analytics that guide programme and workforce decisions – all underpinned by a strong commitment to ethics, privacy, and responsible AI. As part of a distributed team, you’ll gain exposure to implementing a data governance transformation, international collaboration, and continuous learning opportunities.
What you’ll deliver
• Architect the Future of People Data: Take the lead in designing, implementing, and evolving our people data model architecture. You'll ensure all workforce data is seamlessly integrated into a single, reliable source of truth, directly empowering People teams and decision-makers.
• Pioneer Master Data Management: Own the design of master data management (MDM) architecture for people data. Collaborate with key partners to bring your vision to life, developing practical guidelines and standard methodologies that will drive organisational excellence.
• Lead Data Integration & Innovation: Develop and execute an ambitious roadmap for data collection and integration across the People Function, uniting diverse people-related data sources into a cohesive and robust system. Your work will be central to delivering a forward-thinking People Data & Insights strategy.
• Take Ownership: Serve as the product owner for our people data model and cloud-based solution. You’ll set priorities, deliver on the roadmap, unlock enhancements, and swiftly resolve challenges, working closely with stakeholders to continuously improve our workforce data ecosystem.
• Drive Collaborative Partnerships: Work at the heart of cross-functional teams, partnering with People, People Engineering, Finance, Operations and more to craft the strategic vision for people data architecture. Shape requirements, foster strong governance, and co-create high-impact data solutions for People Insights, workforce planning, and reporting.
• Steer Data Strategy & Governance: Be a key player in setting standards for people data assets, partnering with People Engineering to uphold robust governance and standards across our People data landscape.
• Explore & Innovate: Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring trends in data architecture, AI, and HR technology. Your expertise will guide the evaluation and adoption of new techniques and tools that will elevate our organisation’s data capabilities.
• Safeguard Security & Compliance: Take ownership of data privacy and security, ensuring all people data products align with regulations (such as GDPR) and our own rigorous standards.
• Champion Data Quality: Collaborate with the People Data Governance Senior Analyst and Master Data Management teams ensure high data quality standards within the cloud-based data solution.
• Lead Change & Inspire Communication: Use change management practices to drive successful adoption of data architecture projects. You’ll develop engaging training materials and keep senior leadership and stakeholders informed of progress, improvements, and performance metrics.
About you
• Demonstrated experience of delivering business impact by identifying and solving data problems.
• Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in data architecture or data modelling, with a specific focus on HR, workforce, or people data in complex organisational environments.
• Expertise in cloud-based data solutions and ETL processes relevant to HR and workforce analytics.
• Thorough understanding of HR data domains, data governance frameworks, and best practices for managing people data.
• Skilled in stakeholder management, translating HR and workforce business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
• Proficiency with data modelling tools and technologies (such as SQL, Python, and data visualisation platforms) commonly used for HR analytics.
• DCAM (Data Management Capability Assessment Model) or equivalent certification desirable, demonstrating advanced proficiency in data management standards and practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
