About the team and your role
As the People Operations Specialist at Rojo for our location in Barcelona, you will be a vital part of our People & Culture team, ensuring our human resource operations align with our company's culture and our ambitious goals. You will be responsible for a blend of cultural and operational People & Culture tasks, working closely with the People and Culture team and the Country manager for Spain, to ensure the best service and support for our team in Barcelona. Next to your local involvement, you will contribute to team projects spanning all our locations (in the Netherlands and India).

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
• Serve as the go-to People & Culture representative in our Spanish Office
• Championing initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, engagement, retention and overall wellbeing.
• Managing day-to-day People & Culture tasks with a balance of cultural and operational/administrative focus.
• Supporting the People & Culture Manager with strategic projects and initiatives that enhance both culture and operations.
• Developing and refining initiatives and policy to foster a positive and stimulating work environment aimed at professional and personal growth.
• Managing administrative task like onboarding, payroll and employee leave with meticulous attention to detail.
• Making sure we hire the right people to grow our Barcelona team
• Building and embedding strong People & Culture foundations for the company's growth.
What do you need to succeed?
• You have excellent communication skills and experience with stakeholder management
• You have 3+ years of experience within a HR role and have a strong HR generalist skill set
• You have an educational background in the field of Labor Relations or Human Resources or a related field
• You have excellent knowledge of Spanish (national and regional) employment legislation; familiarity with Dutch or Indian labour law is a plus.
• You’re able to maintain an overview and set the right priorities, and you’re able to ask for help from your team when needed
• During rapid changes and high demand of work you know how to keep your cool
• You have experience of working with an HRIS
• You speak Spanish at a native level of proficiency, and speak and write at a professional English level
• You like to work with a high degree of autonomy, but also enjoy collaboration and co-creating initiatives for the benefit of our employees
• You can handle confidential and sensitive information well
• You have a natural ability to take on responsibility and continuous improvement mindset
