Ruth & Naomi’s Mission has been serving the Chilliwack community for over 20 years. What began as handing out sandwiches in downtown Chilliwack has grown into a multi-site organization supporting hundreds of individuals each day through shelter, recovery, and community programs.

About the Role
We are seeking a People & Culture Administrator to support the day-to-day administrative functions of our People & Culture team.
This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate employee records, supporting recruitment processes, coordinating onboarding requirements, and helping ensure compliance across our growing organization. The position is well suited to someone who enjoys working with systems and processes, has strong attention to detail, and is interested in building experience in Human Resources.
This position works closely with the Director of People & Culture and People & Culture Generalist and supports teams across all departments.
What You’ll Do
• Post job advertisements and coordinate candidate communications
• Conduct initial phone screens and complete reference checks
• Track onboarding requirements and employee documentation
• Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems
• Monitor training requirements and certification expiries
• Support HRIS tracking and reporting to maintain file accuracy and compliance
• Assist with uniform tracking and People & Culture administrative coordination
• Respond to general People & Culture administrative inquiries
What You Bring
• Previous administrative experience (required)
• Experience supporting HR or recruitment processes (an asset)
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (an asset)
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple administrative workflows with accuracy and consistency
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
• Confidence learning new systems quickly
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative once trained
• Comfort working with confidential information
• Willingness to respect and uphold the mission and values of Ruth & Naomi’s Mission
Compensation & Schedule
• $22.00 – $24.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
• Temporary, part-time position
• In-office role based in Chilliwack
• Availability typically required Monday–Friday between 8:00am – 4:00pm (flexibility may be required)
• Travel between Chilliwack sites required
