Peer Support Specialist (Transportation & Client Engagement)
Location: Paducah, KY and surrounding local area

Lumera Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and reliable Peer Support Specialist to support clients in accessing behavioral health services and maintaining engagement in care. This role involves providing peer-based support, assisting clients with transportation to and from scheduled programming, and helping foster a welcoming and supportive treatment environment.
The Peer Support Specialist will work closely with the clinical team to encourage participation in services and promote recovery-oriented care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide peer-based support and encouragement to individuals engaged in behavioral health treatment
Assist with transportation of clients to and from scheduled groups or appointments within the local service area
Help facilitate psychoeducational groups under the direction of clinical staff
Support client engagement and participation in treatment programming
Assist in maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for clients
Collaborate with the care team to support client needs and promote recovery goals
Perform other supportive duties that contribute to the overall client care experience
Qualifications
Certified Peer Support Specialist preferred
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Associate (CADCA I or II) preferred
Lived experience with recovery and the ability to support others in their recovery journey
Valid driver’s license required
Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Additional Information
Local travel required within the Paducah, KY service area
Some evenings and Saturdays required
Position involves regular interaction with clients participating in behavioral health programming
