Lucy School, an arts-based, environmentally focused independent school in Middletown, MD, is seeking a passionate and energetic PE Teacher / After Care Supervisor to join our team. This is a full-time position that has the benefit of health insurance (school pays 75% of premiums or a health or a wellness stipend)

Key Responsibilities:
Physical Education (2 days/week):
Plan and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate PE classes for students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade
Foster a love of movement, teamwork, and personal growth through diverse physical activities
Contribute to the physical well-being and confidence of all students
After School Supervisor (Daily):
Oversee the after-school program with warmth, safety, and a sense of fun
Create an inviting environment for students to unwind, socialize, and explore
Coordinate snacks, indoor/outdoor activities, and transitions with ease and care
Floating (Schoolwide Support):
Provide coverage and support throughout the school day where needed
Collaborate with faculty and staff to maintain a smooth, joyful school environment
Step into various roles with grace—from classroom assistance to administrative help
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A passion for working with children across a wide age range
Experience in physical education, after school programming, or classroom support
Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit
The ability to create structure while encouraging creativity and autonomy
A commitment to the values of inclusion, kindness, and curiosity
Requirements:
