Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a top healthcare client in Hermitage, TN.
This position plays a key leadership role within a 34-bed PCU/Telemetry unit, overseeing patient care for individuals with cardiac, neurological, and pulmonary conditions. The CNC ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while coordinating team functions, supporting nursing staff, and fostering clinical excellence during the night shift.
Job Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate nursing care for PCU patients, including those with cardiac, neuro, and pulmonary diagnoses.
• Oversee admission, discharge, and patient flow processes to ensure efficient throughput.
• Administer and manage IV drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix, and Protonix.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, offering coaching, feedback, and performance guidance.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care, engagement, and satisfaction.
• Support compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and clinical protocols.
• Assist with staff scheduling and ensure proper nurse-to-patient ratios are maintained.
• Collaborate with management to drive departmental quality, performance, and engagement initiatives.
Requirements:
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
Experience
• Prior Charge Nurse experience required
• Previous PCU, Telemetry, or step-down nursing experience preferred
Certifications/Licenses
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
• NIHSS Stroke Certification within 30 days of hire

• Strong clinical decision-making and leadership abilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
