Payroll Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to process our company’s payroll operations efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations while maintaining accurate payroll records. This role requires strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of payroll systems, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities::
• Process payroll for employees – salaried and hourly - including salaries, benefits, bonuses and deductions
• Address employee and supervisor inquiries on payroll and timecard submissions
• Ensure payroll adjustments, such as salary changes, deductions and tax withholdings, are correctly calculated and applied
• Confirm accuracy in wages, overtime and other compensation
• Assist in maintaining records and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws
• Coordinate with Payroll Lead and HR to ensure accurate and timely payroll
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 and 1099 processing
• Support internal and external audits by providing payroll records and support

Qualifications::
• 3+ years experience processing payroll
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in payroll software; Paycom/Workday/ADP experience strongly preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple payroll cycles
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with various departments
• Experience in building out Time and Attendance based on policies
