We are looking for a motivated and positive professional who wants to join our team as Payroll Expert.
Responsibilities:
Manage the entire payroll process for Bulgaria: gathering timesheet and attendance data, calculating gross pay, deductions (tax, social security, etc.), net pay, and ensuring accurate payments to employees.
Ensure payroll calculations fully adhere to Bulgarian standards.
Ensure payroll records comply with Bulgarian retention requirements and that payslips, payment records, and deduction documentation are accurately maintained.
Responsible for the proper and timely processing of payroll, salaries, bonuses, business travel, sick leave, paid and unpaid leave, other types of absences.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to the management.
Keep informed about changes in Bulgarian labour law, tax legislation, and social security, and interpret their effects on payroll activities.
Represents the company in front of the NSSI, National Revenue Agency, Labor inspectorate and other workforce-related institutions.
Assist with process improvements: streamline payroll procedures, ensure controls are in place, support audit readiness and documentation of payroll policies.
Requirements:
Fluency in English is a plus.
Preferred experience with Style by MSoft.
Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP).
Experience in payroll processing within Bulgaria.
Strong understanding of Bulgarian tax, labor, and social security laws related to payroll (minimum wages, social security bases and contributions, employer/employee obligations, tax rates, leave payments).
Good attention to detail and ability to organize your time efficiently.
Person with a positive attitude who can work well both withing a team and independently.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
