Requirements:
We are looking for a payroll executive that is excited about the below Mission and Outcomes.

Mission: The mission of a Payroll Executive is to ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll for multiple client organisations. They are responsible for managing payroll data, processing payroll transactions, addressing clients’ queries, and ensuring that all payroll activities adhere to labour and tax regulatory standards in Singapore. The role requires a strong focus on detail, client service, and efficiency to deliver seamless payroll solutions to clients while maintaining high standards of customer service, confidentiality, and operational efficiency.

Outcomes:

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Singapore’s payroll regulations and processes: Able to articulate and apply appropriate regulations in preparing payroll reports, and 100% familiarisation with payroll processes and systems in processing clients’ payroll and income tax, from the third month onwards
• Client satisfaction: Consistently achieve a high level of client satisfaction through prompt and accurate reporting and problem resolution.
• High gross profitability of payroll services: Consistently ensure that their portfolio value and profit margin maintains a high gross profitability set by Sleek
• Ensure that the agreed payroll deadlines for all clients are based on given service level agreements (SLAs) and statutory requirements: Ensure that 100% payroll, CPF and income tax are completed by agreed deadlines.
• 100% team collaboration and communication: Effective communication and collaboration with team members, clients, and other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.

To succeed in this role,you have at least 2 years of payroll processing experience, ideally in an outsourced environment, and are based in the Philippines or India. Reporting to the Payroll Manager at Sleek Singapore, you will manage payroll for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. This role suits someone who is detail-oriented, client-focused, and confident in payroll operations and statutory requirements.

Position Duties:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy across salaries, benefits, bonuses, deductions, and tax computations.

• Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory filings, including CPF contributions, Annual Income Tax Returns, IR21 Tax Clearance, S45 Withholding Tax, and other regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their payroll needs and delivering excellent service that drives client satisfaction and retention.
• Proactively identify and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues, escalating complex matters to the Payroll Manager when necessary.
• Stay up to date with the latest labour laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements to ensure full compliance in all payroll activities.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date payroll records in line with legal and company standards.
• Handle sensitive payroll and financial data with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity, ensuring data protection at all times.
• Uphold professional standards and ensure strict adherence to client confidentiality and compliance requirements.

Performance Standard:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of payroll processing experience; experience in an outsourced, fast-paced, technology-driven environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., Talenox, Employment Hero, Xero Payroll) and Singapore labour regulations.
• Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other productivity tools to streamline daily tasks.
• Self-motivated, proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Adaptable to changing environments and open to contributing to process improvements.
• Able to meet tight deadlines; immediate availability is preferred.

Problem Solving: You’ll need to be able to think on your feet as this role requires you to identify, diagnose, and resolve production issues quickly, reducing downtime. You will leverage your strong infrastructure and development skills in post-incident reviews to find the underlying cause of failures and prevent future incidents.

Attention to detail: You’ll be managing multiple, complex workstreams from numerous stakeholders. It will be important for you to keep track of everything and notice when information is missing or inconsistent.

Excellent listener and clear communicator: We have a variety of nationalities and for many people, English isn’t their first language. For you to excel, you’ll need to be present in your calls and make sure you properly receive and thoughtfully send messages to others in the business.

Autonomous/ Entrepreneurial: Things move fast at Sleek and we are not a hierarchical organisation. We want the candidate to proactively seek out and own solutions without waiting for their manager to ask them. We want the candidate to have the confidence to execute solutions on their own and the experience to know when to ask questions.

The interview process

The successful candidate will participate in the below interview stages. We anticipate the process to last no more than 3 weeks from start to finish.

Whether the interviews are held over video call or in person will depend on your location and the role.

A ~30 minute chat with the Talent Acquisition Team.

Technical Assessment
A ~ 90 minute chat with a Hiring team. They’ll discuss your last 1-2 roles to understand your experience in more detail.

Behavioural / Soft Skills fit assessment

A ~45 minute chat with a member of the HR or leadership team, where they will dive into some of your recent work situations to understand how you think and work.

Offer + reference interviews

We’ll make a non-binding offer verbally or over email, followed by a couple of short phone or video calls with references that you provide to us.
