About the role (your why)

Join Datacom as the Payments Controller and partner with the Team Lead - Accounts Payable to steward the accounts payable process stream. In this role you’ll ensure high-quality, seamless vendor payment processing while maintaining rigorous controls and full compliance with applicable legislation and Datacom policy. You’ll drive continuous improvements, optimize workflows, and safeguard data accuracy across the payables function. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and suppliers, and contribute to a culture of integrity, service excellence, and professional growth. What you’ll bring

• Knowledge and experience in business performance and finance
• Knowledge of finance management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue.
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in accounts payable.
• Experience developing and implementing strategic plans and objectives
• Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
• Ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members

Responsibilities

• Processing and overseeing all payments are processed and paid in a timely and accurate manner
• ANZ payment forecast is accurate and updated daily Weekly, monthly, Manual, urgent and FX payment processing
• Managing the Corp credits card claims and ensuring these are coded and DFA is complete
• Managing allocated portfolio to ensure payments are processed and paid timely, accurately and in accordance with internal process and agreed terms
• Managing payment approvals for all payment runs and ensure approved within set timeframes
• Ensuring all vendor queries are addressed in a timely manner
• Supporting the implementation of enhancements that will improve service quality and/or reduce the cost of doing business
