Position Overview
The Payer Contracting Manager initiates, negotiates, and executes Managed Medicaid, State Medicaid, Medicare Advantage and Local market commercial payer, contracts and agreements to reimburse for testing services. The Payer Contracting Manager works assignments involving moderately complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
• Communicates contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to payers.
• Analyzes financial impact of contracts and terms.
• Maintains contracts and documentation within a tracking system.
• May assist with identifying and recruiting payers based on improving clonoSEQ coverage and reimbursement.
• Begins to influence department’s strategy.
• Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
• All other duties as assigned
Position Requirements (Education, Experience, Other)
Required
• 7+ years of experience negotiating managed care contracts with both government and private payers.
• Proficiency in analyzing, understanding and communicating financial impact of contract terms, payment structures and reimbursement rates to payers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred
• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience with payer contracting and network administration any with both commercial, Medicaid and Medicare Advantage
• Knowledge of ACO/Risk Contracting
• Knowledge of Value Based Contracting
Working Conditions
• Travel may be required

Compensation
Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000
Other compensation elements include:

• bonus eligible

Adaptive’s posted compensation information includes a base salary (or hourly rate) range and summary of other available total compensation. The base salary range represents a minimum-to-maximum salary (or hourly rate) available to candidates upon extension of offer. Base salary is thoughtfully considered upon offer and is determined through multiple evaluation checks throughout the interview process, including: a candidate’s ability to meet minimum qualifications (skills/experience/education), a candidate’s ability to thoughtfully address preferred qualifications, current market conditions, and internal pay equity. Listed base salary is exclusive of bonus, commission, equity, differential pay, benefits, and other incentives.
