General Description of Position: Assist with general mechanic shop support and parts pickups and returns. Other duties as assigned by the equipment manager.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Ensure that mechanics shop is adequately equipped with daily supplies.

Assist with shop housekeeping and organization of tools and supplies.

Assist with upkeep of fleet vehicle routine maintenance, license and registration, proof of insurance cards, first aid kits, etc.

Cleaning and washing of equipment as needed by the equipment manager.

Some minor shop repair assistance as deemed necessary by the equipment manager.

Some administrative tasks and errands as deemed necessary by the equipment manager.

KSA’s

Construction experience preferred

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry our detailed written or oral instructions

Ability to properly use/operate hand tools

Ability to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Preferred Qualifications: Must have a current valid driver's license and have a safe driving record.

Education, Experience, and Training: May be asked to move, load, or start large pieces of equipment.
