Program Dates: June 9 – August 14, 2026 (10 weeks)
Position Summary
The 10-week paid internship program is an opportunity to expand your knowledge of the wealth management industry and of the business strategies that enable success in the space. You will support Focus Financial Partners’ (FFP) partnership engagement team in analyzing opportunities across our partner firm portfolio and driving strategic initiatives for Focus partner firms. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience while working in a dynamic environment. Focus offers an emphasis on training and our history of hiring and promoting from within make the Internship Program a truly unique opportunity.
Focus requires team members in this position to work on-site Monday through Friday.
Interns who demonstrate exceptional performance may be considered early for a full-time position following graduation.
Primary Responsibilities
• Learn key strategic frameworks for business management decision making and how to turn those frameworks into actionable strategies
• Support development and maintenance of datasets to help Focus identify strategic opportunities for individual partner firms in its portfolio
• Analyze individual partner firm data, benchmark performance across partner firms, and identify growth & margin improvement opportunities
• Engage in development and presentation of those opportunities to leaders across Focus’ partner firm portfolio
• Coordinate team projects including partner firm initiatives, meetings and growth projects
Qualifications
• Current students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date between December 2026 and Spring 2027
• Successfully complete assessments within 5 days of receiving the link.
• Ability to work in FFP’s New York City office; relocation assistance is not provided
• Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
• Demonstrated track record of academic success and/or professional pursuits
• High degree of personal and professional maturity
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Intellectual curiosity and confidence to take initiative
• Exceptional work ethic and a deep sense of accountability
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Interest in wealth management
This position is a non-exempt position. The base pay for this role is expected to be $22/hr. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. Please note that the job title is subject to change based on the selected candidate’s experience and education.
