The Partnership Development Officer is responsible for cultivating and expanding relationships with industry, community, and professional partners to support high-quality Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities.
This role is a more strategic and outward-facing position. The role emphasises proactive industry engagement, development of new placement opportunities, and strengthening the partner portfolio to ensure sustainability and growth.
Key objectives include:
• Identify, engage, and maintain strong partnerships across industry sectors.
• Support the Host Partnership Manager in expanding and managing the partner portfolio.
• Generate new placement and project opportunities that align with student needs and program requirements.
• Act as a key liaison between the institution, students, and industry to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Manage agreements between ACAP and WIL partners
• Contribute to the reputation and visibility of WIL programs through professional, authentic, and high-impact engagement with stakeholders.
• There are two roles available. These roles can be based in Melbourne, Adelaide, or Sydney.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in tertiary education, WIL/placement administration or student administration
• Demonstrated experience in developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience in managing administrative processes, student records, and compliance documentation
• High level of computer literacy, including advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and student placement software such as Sonia and student management systems
• Excellent time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong communication skills, including professional correspondence with students and external partners
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment
• Flexibility and proven adaptability to changing systems, processes, and personnel responsibilities
• Experience in student engagement (preferred).
• Knowledge of accreditation requirements and regulatory frameworks relevant to professional placements (preferred).
• Existing networks in industries relevant to WIL disciplines (preferred).
