Part-time Translator /English to Italian/

YOUR ROLE::
• We are looking for a Translator to join our team at SiteGround to translate our content from English to Italian. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for comprehending the context of the given material and ensuring accurate and culturally relevant translations for our Italian-speaking markets. Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality translated content that aligns with our internal requirements and enables us to effectively engage a broader audience. If you possess strong linguistic abilities and a passion for language, we encourage you to become a member of the team as we strive to bridge communication gaps and foster multilingual understanding.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES::
• Translate web pages, blog posts, Knowledge Base articles, online presentations, and other marketing and technical content;
• Convert audio recordings in English to text in Italian, and vice versa, and prepare subtitles for videos, podcasts, and other;
• Conduct research to stay updated on industry-specific trends and terminology and accurately translate technical terms and documents as needed;
• Ensure translated content conveys original meaning, format, and tone;
• Proofread already translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy to ensure completeness and fluency;
• Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on translated content and edit it before publication to ensure consistency;
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality work;
• Maintain confidentiality and protect the integrity of sensitive information.

• Fluency in English and Italian;
• Excellent translation skills with the ability to adapt to different styles and tones to suit various groups and audiences;
• Ability to commit and strictly follow deadlines as they are crucial for all projects;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Strong advantage: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Translation, Linguistics, Language Studies, Marketing, Mass Communication, etc.
