Part-Time Temporary Custodian

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $18.25/hr.

This is an on-site, part-time, temporary role with 3-4 hours per day, primarily scheduled from Monday to Friday, starting at 5:00 pm, however, there may be occasional adjustments to the start and end times based on events and facilities requirements.

The Indiana University Foundation seeks highly motivated applicants for a part-time temporary Custodian position to work between 15 and 20 hours/week. In this position, you will work as part of a facilities team and complete building maintenance services such as cleaning offices, restrooms, common areas, windows, stairs, and other building areas. You will also assist with "set-ups" for building functions and cleaning areas upon event completion.

In addition, you will assist with grounds maintenance by cleaning sidewalks and grounds adjacent to our buildings and helping with special projects, events, and other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Experience with general maintenance and custodial duties
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
• Ability to communicate effectively and be a team player.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Organizational skills necessary to plan and coordinate work
• Ability to follow safe work practices in biohazard or hazardous waste clean-up.
• Reliable transportation is required for this role

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• General knowledge at the high school level is required.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
