Arizona’s first and only autism-focused charter school is expanding and seeking a part-time School Nutrition Service Assistant for the NSLP (National School Lunch Program) to prepare, serve, and document student activity at the Phoenix Campus.
Under the supervision and direction of the Student Nutrition Manager, the School Nutrition Service Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the food programs at the Main Campus.
This position is 27.5 hours per week with the hours of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
We are looking for a reliable and committed individual who is available to start this school year and continue into the next school year.
Duties:
Prepares food service for consumption by students
Responsible for production records, temperature records, and sanitation standards at the Phoenix Main Campus
Maintains food service facilities and equipment in a neat, clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
Maintains clean and sanitized workstations, counters, steam tables, and other equipment.
Manages and/or assists with the receipt, storage, and rotation of food items and supplies.
Manages and/or assists with appropriate inventory control processes.
Consistent and regular attendance is a key requirement of this position.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Food handlers certificate or willing to obtain
Experience working in a school is preferred
Experience working with children on the autism spectrum preferred

Positions in this class require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping,
feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Light Work:
Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Working Conditions:
Work is routinely performed in an indoor classroom environment.
