Part-Time Recreation Centre Manager (10 Hours/Week)
AFN Enterprises (GP) Limited, the general partner of AFN Enterprises Limited Partnership (“AFN Enterprises”), the business arm of the ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation (“AFN”), is seeking a motivated and community-focused Part-Time Recreation Centre Manager to oversee the day-to-day coordination of our Recreation Centre. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is highly organized, and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment for all facility users. This position reports to AFNE General Manager.
The Recreation Centre Manager is responsible for coordinating facility operations, supporting staff scheduling, submitting payroll information, and serving as the primary point of contact for members and visitors. As the face of the facility, the Manager plays a key role in ensuring a positive and professional customer experience.
This position is scheduled for approximately 10 hours per week and will be paid a salary of $1,000 per month.
There may be opportunities for additional hours in a separate Recreation Centre Attendant capacity, paid at an hourly rate.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage staff schedules
Review and submit payroll information to the General Manager
Act as the primary on-site contact for customers and facility users
Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries or concerns
Support general facility oversight and ensure a safe, welcoming environment
Assist with operational tasks as required
Qualifications & Skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities
Comfortable working independently
Basic administrative and payroll experience considered an asset
Experience in recreation, community facilities, or customer service is preferred
Additional Information
Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week
Additional hours may be available in an Attendant role at a separate rate of pay
Some evening or weekend availability may be required
