Part-time Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

The City of Brooks is currently seeking a Part-time Lifeguard to join our Aquatics team. The available position mainly requires daytime availability, but there is potential for evening and weekend shifts as well.  Job Details & Responsibilities:

The Part-time Lifeguard position is a daytime position at the EID Aquatic Centre. As a Part-time Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring that pool and lifeguarding duties are performed to meet user, City, and regulating authority standards.  

 Requirements:

The successful applicant must be 16 years of age or older. 

Other training requirements include: National Lifeguard Certificate, Standard First Aid Certification and a Swim Instructor Certificate. 

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work well in a team environment and have strong public relations, interpersonal and communication skills.

 Compensation & Benefits:

The 2025 wage range for this position is $20.49 - $21.73 per hour. The successful candidate will also receive a free membership to the JBS Canada Centre during their term of employment.

A clean criminal records check will be required before an offer of employment is presented to the successful applicant (18 years of age and older).
