Join Intellect as a part-time Clinical Psychologist to shape workplace mental health in Australia, helping deliver high-quality mental healthcare and redefine workplace mental health in Australia.

Job Description

Join Intellect and help shape the future of workplace mental health in Australia

Intellect is a modern mental health company on a mission to make high quality mental healthcare more accessible, effective, and measurable.

We partner with organisations to deliver evidence based mental health support, and we are helping redefine workplace mental health in Australia through strong clinical governance, psychosocial risk capability, and outcomes focused care.

We are now hiring an AHPRA registered Clinical Psychologist for a part-time, hybrid role, based in Sydney or Perth.

This is a unique opportunity for a psychologist who wants more than a traditional therapy role. You will combine direct clinical care with workplace assessments, psychosocial risk work, stakeholder partnership, crisis response support, and research collaboration.

Approximately 50% of the role is focused on therapy and psychological assessments, with the remaining scope focused on broader clinical and organisational work. The compensation package for this role consists of base salary, superannuation, and employee stock options.

Why join Intellect

• Part-time, hybrid role, based in Sydney or Perth
• Varied scope across therapy, assessments, workplace mental health, and crisis support
• Clinical supervision provided
• CPD allowance
• Admin support provided
• No need to build your own referral pipeline
• Travel support provided for crisis response deployments
• Opportunity to contribute to research partnerships with Australian universities
• Be part of the broader Clinical team, in a role with both direct client impact and systems level influence
• Join a clinically led team focused on quality, governance, and measurable outcomes

About the role
This role is ideal for a clinician who:

• enjoys variety in their work
• wants to apply their skills beyond a therapy room only
• is confident engaging both clients and non clinical stakeholders
• is motivated by evidence based practice and systems level impact

Team and support

You will be part of Intellect’s broader Clinical team, working in a collaborative environment with clinical, operational, and cross functional partners.

This role is designed to support high quality clinical work, with supervision, CPD support, and admin support in place, so psychologists can focus on care quality and impact.

You will play an important role in delivering high quality care, supporting workplace mental health initiatives, and helping build Intellect’s clinical and research presence in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care and Psychological Assessments

• Provide evidence based psychological therapy, both in person and virtually, in line with AHPRA requirements and Intellect clinical governance standards
• Maintain a hands on clinical caseload with a focus on high quality, outcomes oriented care
• Conduct psychological and workplace related assessments, including return to work assessments and other psychosocial or functional assessments
• Provide case management and care coordination where required, including risk monitoring and escalation

Workplace Mental Health and Psychosocial Risk

• Contribute to psychosocial risk assessments and workplace mental health initiatives across client organisations
• Support the development of clinically sound recommendations and reports
• Translate clinical insights into practical guidance for internal teams and client stakeholders

Stakeholder partnership and Clinical Account Support

• Liaise with client representatives and internal stakeholders to uphold clinical quality, service standards, and reporting integrity
• Act as a trusted clinical voice in programme discussions, helping ensure delivery remains evidence based, safe, and fit for purpose

Crisis and Critical Incident Support

• Support on site crisis response deployments when required, including psychological first aid, group briefings, and individual stabilisation sessions
• Ensure clear follow up pathways, continuity of care, and appropriate escalation after critical incidents
• Undertake occasional short notice travel for crisis support, typically short trips of 1 to 2 days, with travel support provided

Research and Evidence Generation

• Contribute to Intellect’s research and evaluation efforts in Australia, including partnerships with universities and applied workplace mental health studies
• Support clinically grounded data collection, interpretation, and programme improvement initiatives
• Help strengthen Intellect’s evidence base and thought leadership in workplace mental health and psychosocial safety

Requirements:
• Full AHPRA registration as a psychologist, with Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology
• Master’s or Doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in psychological therapy and assessment
• Experience in case management and workplace related assessments, including return to work and workplace reports, is highly regarded
• Experience in psychosocial risk assessment or workplace mental health programmes is highly regarded
• Strong clinical judgement and communication skills
• Comfortable working across individual care, organisational contexts, and stakeholder engagement
• Experience supporting complex, high risk, or safety critical populations is advantageous
• Familiarity with FIFO workforces, remote workers, mining contexts, or migrant worker populations is highly advantageous
