NOW HIRING: Park Maintenance - Seasonal

JOB SUMMARY: Seasonal Park Maintenance is responsible for performing general park and facilities maintenance and cleanup. This includes mowing, custodial, athletic field maintenance, routine tasks, and projects.

LOCATION: TPPD Park Maintenance Building, 16801 S, 80th Ave., Tinley Park, Illinois

QUALIFICATIONS: The qualified individual must hold a valid, clean driver’s license at all times. This person should be well motivated, possessing good decision making and leadership skills. Basic knowledge of hand tools and small machinery a plus. Must be willing to work in various weather conditions.

INCENTIVES: This summer seasonal position will work 40 hours a week, with a schedule of Monday through Friday 7:30am-3:30pm and one weekend day 7am-12pm, as decided by departmental need. The Wage Range is $16.00 to $20.00 per hour and qualifies for a complementary membership to the Fitness Center, Recreation Center, and Water Park. $16.00 will be the entry level wage rate per hour for all new hires. This seasonal position may have an opportunity to continue as part-time (24 hours per week) during the Fall/Winter months. Referral program eligible.

The Park District maintains over 40 parks, 33 ball fields, and several facilities which include the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, Tinley Fitness, White Water Canyon Water Park, Canine Campus Dog Park, Tinley Junction Miniature Golf & Batting Cages, Vogt Visual Arts Center, and the Tinley Park Performing Arts Center.
