Parking Enforcement Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking an Parking Enforcement Supervisor to lead our department’s transformation through the implementation and optimization of enforcement technologies. This role combines traditional parking management expertise with technical acumen. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between enforcement operations and emerging technology to create efficient, data-driven parking management systems.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Implementation & Management
Lead the evaluation, selection, and deployment of parking enforcement technologies.
Oversee integration of new enforcement technologies with existing parking management infrastructure, payment systems, and permit databases
Manage relationships with technology vendors and ensure successful implementation of platforms.
Develop and execute phased rollout plans for new technologies, including pilot programs and performance assessments
Operational Leadership
Supervise parking enforcement staff and provide training on tools and digital enforcement systems
Establish data-driven enforcement strategies using predictive analytics to optimize patrol routes and resource allocation
Monitor enforcement metrics and KPIs through analytics dashboards to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
Ensure compliance with local regulations, ADA requirements, and privacy standards in all enforcement activities
Strategic Planning & Innovation
Develop enforcement policies for proactive rather than reactive parking management
Analyze enforcement data to identify violation patterns, peak demand periods, and opportunities for operational improvements
Stay current with emerging parking enforcement technologies and industry best practices
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or some college in related field
At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience
Technical Skills
Proficiency with data analytics tools and ability to interpret operational data to inform decision-making
Comfort with learning new technologies and ability to train others on technical systems
Professional Competencies
Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple technology initiatives simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision-making approach
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Leadership skills with proven ability to manage change and guide teams through operational transformations
Knowledge of municipal parking regulations, enforcement best practices, and relevant local ordinances
Work Environment & Conditions
Office-based position with regular field visits to enforcement zones and parking facilities
Standard business hours with occasional evening or weekend work for technology deployments or special events
May require travel for training, conferences, or vendor meetings
Must be able to work in various weather conditions during field inspections
