Paralegal - Work from Home/Dayshift

Position Outline

The Paralegal will support an in-house commercial team within an international organisation operating in the mining and construction sector. This offshore role provides structured legal and contract administration support, assisting with commercial agreements, contract management processes, and compliance documentation.

This position is ideal for a legally trained professional with contract drafting experience who can work within a commercial environment while supporting Australian-based stakeholders. Structured training will be provided to ensure proficiency within the first six months.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Drafting & Review

• Draft, review, and manage commercial contracts and related documentation.
• Review and process NDAs and confidentiality agreements.
• Assist with contract approvals, variations, departures, and document control.
• Review legal notices and correspondence from external law firms.

Contract Administration & Compliance

• Support commercial contract management processes across mining and construction-related projects.
• Maintain accurate and compliant contract registers and documentation systems.
• Contribute to improving internal contract workflows and compliance processes.

Stakeholder Coordination & Support

• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure documentation accuracy and timely processing.
• Provide clerical and administrative legal support to the commercial team.
• Perform other position-level duties as they arise.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Law or Legal Studies (full legal academic training required)
• 3-5+ years’ experience in a paralegal or commercial legal support role.
• Demonstrated experience in contract drafting and document review.
• Exposure to commercial contracts within mining, construction, engineering, or industrial sectors (advantageous).
• Experience supporting international or Australian-based commercial teams (preferred).
• Strong understanding of contract management and document control processes.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational capability.
• Strong written English communication skills suitable for reviewing and drafting legal documentation.
• Ability to operate independently within an offshore support model aligned to international business hours.
