Role Overview The Paralegal will provide direct support to the Managing Partner, requiring a strong combination of legal knowledge, operational efficiency, and client service skills. This role involves drafting legal documents, managing e-filings, coordinating litigation deadlines, and supporting trial preparation while working with a high level of independence. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of anticipating potential challenges before they arise. Experience using AI tools to optimize legal workflows is considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Draft motions and legal correspondence for attorney review. Assist with motions for summary judgment, motions to compel, motions to strike, and similar filings. Conduct legal research and draft issue outlines or summaries. Create and maintain discovery calendars and litigation timelines. Prepare documentation for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial binders. Manage and organize bankruptcy files, including schedules, statements, plan modifications, and related documentation. Provide direct support to attorneys during bankruptcy hearings. Ensure all bankruptcy court requirements and deadlines are met in a timely manner. Review creditor proofs of claim and incorporate findings into overall case strategy.
Requirements Must-Have Qualifications
Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Case Manager, Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or in a similar legal role. English proficiency at C1 level (written and verbal). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage high volumes of work independently and meet filing quotas. Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in bankruptcy law (preferred but not required). College degree in Law. Proven ability to handle escalated clients with professionalism, empathy, and patience. Strong emotional intelligence and resilience, with the ability to build rapport and manage difficult interactions.
