Job Purpose
This role supports the shop and manufacturing teams by ensuring the quality, accuracy, and functionality of industrial control panels through testing, inspection, and validation processes.
You’ll be responsible for performing detailed quality checks, configuring industrial control equipment, and validating system performance, directly impacting product reliability, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Success in this role means delivering high-performing, fully compliant control panels that meet engineering specifications and regulatory standards, all while upholding KE’s commitment to Safety, People, Passion, and Performance.

What You’ll Do
You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
• Perform systematic quality checks and functional testing of completed industrial control panels
• Verify compliance with UL508A, UL698A, and NEC standards
• Configure and set parameters for variable frequency drives (VFDs), soft starters, and related equipment
• Assign and manage Ethernet IP addresses for PLCs, network switches, and associated devices
• Develop and execute basic PLC test programs to validate I/O functionality
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback and support continuous improvement
• Assist with panel assembly and wiring as needed
• Support occasional field installations and retrofit projects (approximately 5% travel)
What You Bring
You’re someone who shows up ready to work hard, learn fast, and contribute to a team that takes pride in doing things right. Successful candidates typically bring:
• 5+ years of experience in industrial controls testing, quality control, or a related field
• Associate degree in Automation, Robotics, Networking, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems, panel wiring, and testing procedures
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial networking
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
Pay Range

Pay Range: $38/hour
