Painting Estimator (Commercial / Industrial)

We are seeking an experienced Commercial/Industrial Painting Estimator to join our team in West Covina, CA, United States. This full-time position offers a stable career path with a competitive salary range of $95,000–$110,000 annually, along with opportunities for professional growth, leadership advancement, and participation in employee ownership programs. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial painting projects, including labor, materials, production rates, and project schedules
• Perform takeoffs, review blueprints, and analyze specifications, drawings, and scope documents
• Apply knowledge of surface preparation methods, coatings, finishes, and application techniques
• Develop complete bid packages, proposals, and scope clarifications
• Attend job walks and site visits to collect project data and verify existing conditions
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and field teams to validate project details and resolve questions
• Ensure all estimates adhere to company standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations
• Assist with process improvements and mentor junior team members when needed

Requirements:
• Minimum 3+ years of experience estimating commercial or industrial painting projects
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify eligible)
• Valid California driver’s license
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical examination
• Proficiency in blueprint reading, painting takeoffs, surface prep, coating systems, labor & material pricing, and bid preparation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical abilities, and organizational skills
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
