What We’re Looking For
We're looking for a Paid Media Supervisor / Manager who's done this before and wants to do it better.
You'll lead a team of Paid Media Specialists, own strategy and performance across accounts This is a player-coach role: close enough to the work to guide execution, but focused on making the team and the accounts better.
You'll partner with clients as a strategic lead, elevate reporting and optimization standards, and help shape how we deliver results for some of the biggest brands we work with.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Digital Advertising with clear pathways to senior leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities
Provide coaching, feedback, and development support to Paid Media team members.
Support onboarding and training for new team members.
Improve internal processes to strengthen efficiency, quality, and consistency.
Lead resourcing and capacity planning for the team.
Lead paid media strategy across Google, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, LinkedIn, and programmatic platforms.
Own planning, execution, optimization, and results across your portfolio.
Oversee day-to-day pacing and performance, ensuring budgets and tactics stay on track.
Drive innovation by exploring emerging ad formats, channels, and AI-powered tools.
Build and refine reporting frameworks, data visualization, and insights for client and internal presentations.
Present results, recommendations, and growth opportunities directly to senior client stakeholders.
Join weekly client calls, lead QBRs, and serve as a strategic partner on key accounts.
Partner with Accounts to align paid media strategies with broader business and marketing objectives.
Work closely with Creative to develop and test data-driven, audience-focused ad concepts.
What You’ll Bring
3+ years of performance marketing leadership or people management
6+ years of digital advertising experience with hands-on campaign management
Deep expertise in Google Ads and Meta Ads
Proven ability to develop and execute full-funnel, cross-channel paid media strategies
Strong analytical skills with experience in attribution, tracking, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and Google Analytics
Confident communicator with experience presenting to clients and senior stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach junior team members
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex accounts
Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience
Nice to Haves
Google Ads or Google Analytics certifications
Experience with advanced data visualization or dashboarding tools (Looker Studio, Supermetrics)
Experience managing large-scale lead gen or ecommerce accounts
Background in retail, higher ed, financial services, or healthcare verticals
Familiarity with emerging ad platforms or AI-enabled advertising tools
Experience with creative testing frameworks, incrementality testing, or media mix modeling
Exposure to sprint-based workflows or agile environments

Compensation
This role has a target salary range of $90,000 - 110,000 CAD. Placement within this range is based on relevant skills, directly applicable experience, and depth of expertise. Candidates with solid experience that meets most, but not all, role requirements typically fall near the mid-point of the range. In addition to base salary, Northern offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including health & dental benefits, RRSP matching, profit sharing, and other perks.
